FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

So, you're ready to book your session and have some beautiful images of you and your family and wondering what's next? I can't wait to capture these memories for you and I want you to feel at ease at your session. So, I've put together some FAQ's and tips to help you prepare and get you feeling ready and excited!

I'M READY TO BOOK MY SESSION, NOW WHAT?

Head straight over to my contact page and drop your details in there. I will get back to you with 48 hours and we can start planning your session. Once we have touched base, I will send you a questionnaire, invoice and contract via my online booking system. From there, you will need to pay your deposit  of $200 and sign the client agreement. We can then have your session date confirmed and all booked in! 

 

Your questionnaire is the key to tailoring your session to suit YOU. Answering your questions in a raw and honest way will help me get to know you better and let me in on what your jam is. Let me in on your story and what journey life has given you so far, the deeper you get, the better!

 WHERE SHOULD WE BOOK OUR SESSION?

Indoor home sessions are ​a beautiful way to capture you and your loved ones in the most comfortable space they know. We will capture you in your favourite spots in your home, find all that natural light near the windows and create some fun with the kids and all their toys. If you love cooking together, then let's get cooking! If it's jumping on the trampoline that your kids love, then let's go! (Here is where your questionnaire answer come in super handy!)

Outdoor sessions are equally as beautiful, magical and unique. We are able to get your family exploring through the trees. You may get dirty, wet and sandy but you will also laugh, cuddle and feel all the feels. We can get the kids running through the grass, dancing in the water and reaching for your hand as they balance alongside the rock pools. I will tailor make this outdoor session just for you and your loved ones. It will be relaxed, fun and of course loved up! 

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Styling your family for your photography session is sometimes a challenging experience! I have come up with some ideas and tips that will hopefully help guide your styling decisions and make it a little easier for you to prepare for your session- this will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.

 

Generally, keeping it simple is best. Think natural fabrics, like linen and cotton and wool in winter. Using different textures like denim, silk and soft patterns are a great way to add layers and depth to your images. Check out one of my Pinterest boards below for some family styling ideas.   

HOW SHOULD WE STYLE OUR HOME?

Keep it real! A tidy home is great, but please don't take away any of the things that make it YOURS. I do ask that you open blinds and curtains and turn off lights. I photograph using natural light, so the more that floods through your home, the better! 

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS OR IF WE ARE SICK?

On the day of your session, I will confirm your time and update any weather conditions with you. If heavy rain is forecast, we will reschedule your session. If it rains during your session, we will embrace it!  Think moody overcast skies and dancing in the rain scenes!

If you or I are sick, we will reschedule your session. I will let you know asap if this happens, I would hate to pass any sickness onto your little ones. 

WE'VE HAD OUR SESSION, NOW WHAT? 

I will give you a sneak peek within a couple of days post shoot. I also share images throughout my social media sites, so keep your eyes open for those. Your gallery will be delivered digitally within 3-4 weeks via an online system. Your gallery is password protected and allows you to download and share your photos easily.

 

Your images are able to be downloaded in the original size (great for printing) or web size (excellent for sharing on social media). If you require professional prints to be ordered, get in touch and I can get a quote to you asap.
